Maxwell HS, Grayson Tech Hosting Open Houses

Students interested in attending these schools can get more information at open houses Feb. 7 and 21.

Interested in learning more about Gwinnett County's alternative technology campuses? Then, this one is for you.

Both Maxwell High School of Technology and Grayson Technical Program are hosting open houses in February. At the events, parents and students will gain insight into programs, faculty and more.

Grayson Technical Program:

The Open House will be 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Feb. 7 at the Grayson Technical Building, 50 Hope Hollow Road, Loganville. All interested students in the county are welcome to attend.

There will be live demonstrations, samples of student work on display, and teachers and students available to answer questions about the program, open to rising junior and seniors.

Programs at the school include: advanced engineering, commercial photography, culinary arts, law enforcement and criminal justice, music recording, sports medicine and more.

Maxwell High School of Technology:

The Open House will be 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Feb. 21 at the school, located at 990 McElvaney Lane in Lawrenceville. All interested students in the county are welcome to attend.

Students and teachers will be available to answer questions about programs. Additionally, there will be live demonstrations and student work on display.

Programs include: aircraft flight operations, early childhood education, auto collision repair, cosmetology, electronics, healthcare, interior design and more.

Only rising juniors and seniors may apply to the school. Registration is open online beginning Feb. 1.
