Help Pick New Principal at Peachtree Ridge High

A link to a GCPS survey is on the school website.

A recent realignment at Gwinnett County Public Schools has opened an interesting opportunity involving Peachtree Ridge High.

Kevin Tashlein will be leaving as principal of the school, which draws from schools in the Duluth area, for a supervisory position at the GCPS central office in Suwanee. However, his replacement must be named first -- and thus the opportunity.

The Peachtree Ridge website now has a Principal Selection Survey link, which includes a letter from Dr. Frances Davis, chief human resources officer for GCPS.

The web-based survey will be accessible through Oct. 31.

"The Gwinnett County Board of Education and Superintendent J. Alvin Wilbanks would appreciate your response to a web-based Principal Selection Survey. This survey will help school system leaders gather input regarding the selection of the new principal of Peachtree Ridge High School," Davis' letter reads.

The survey itself seeks input in six areas: evaluation/planning, judgment, knowledge of curriculum, problem solving, leadership, and oral/written communication (see attached screenshot.)
