Gwinnett Teacher of the Year Semifinalists Named

Twenty-six teachers are still in the running for the prestigious annual award.

Gwinnett County Public Schools announced the semifinalists for its annual Teacher of the Year award. The list of semifinalists includes several Duluth teachers.

They are:

Elementary School Level Semifinalists

Amber Russell, Anderson-Livsey Elementary, Gifted Education and Accelerated Mathematics Teacher (Grades 2-5).

Lyndsey Klempay, Bethesda Elementary, Mathematics Specialist (Grades K-5).

Debbie Taylor, Brookwood Elementary, Gifted Mathematics and Intervention Teacher (Grade 5).

Anne-Lise Botting, Chattahoochee Elementary, Special Education Teacher - Emotional and Behavioral Disorders (Grades K-2).

Sarah Boyce, Chesney Elementary, Special Education Teacher - Interrelated Resource (Grades K-5).

Michelle Webb, Gwin Oaks Elementary -- 3rd Grade Teacher.
