Greater Atlanta Montessori School Summer Camps

NOTE: All our regular sessions will continue as always. Summer Camp at GAMS will welcome children ages 16 months – 8 years so feel free to spread the word to neighbors and friends who may be interested in spending the summer, or just a few weeks during the Summer, with us and your child!

Our Summer Camp program will include:

• Montessori work cycle (2-3 hours every morning) in which your child will continue to advance their independence and academic learning through lessons given by the certified teacher.
• Gardening experience in tilling, sowing, and nurturing numerous fruits and vegetables in our outdoor garden. Your child will be a part of creating our very first garden and maintaining it through the summer. What can be better than enjoying the fruits of your own labor?

• Career Impressions and interactions with local firemen, policemen, and parent volunteers. Children will have a chance to explore a fire

truck and learn all about how a fire station works!

• Arts and Crafts that will be done both independently and as a group. We’ll be learning how to sew, paint pictures, and create beauty and crafts from waste or recycled materials.
• Drama participation in group drama and acting sessions where children can step out of their comfort zone and propel their inner acting skills.
• Dance sessions where children will learn how to coordinate their bodies in movements with the group and individually. Depending on how things go – we may even have a performance to share with parents at the end of the summer!
• Water Fun opportunities to play outside in the sprinklers! We’ll even learn about how some things sink while others float.

 Our Summer Program will consist of 4 two-week long sessions to allow for changes in schedules and travel that you may do during the summer.

Summer Sessions and Tuition: 8:30am-6:00pm

• Session 1 (two weeks) :   June 6 – June 17, 2011  
• Session 2 (two weeks) :  June 21 – July 1, 2011
• Session 3 (two weeks) :  July 4 – July 15, 2011
• Session 4 (two weeks) :  July 18 – July 29, 2011

Early Bird: 6:30am-8:30am
