Duluth High School Enrollment Exceeds Forecast

Fourth enrollment count showed a total of 162,184 students enrolled in the school system compared to post-Labor Day forecast of 162,459.

Duluth High School’s enrollment reached 2,519, representing an increase of 58 students over its forecast of 2,461, according to results of the fourth enrollment count conducted Monday (Aug. 29) by Gwinnett County Public Schools.

Results of the fourth count showed a total of 162,184 students enrolled in the school system. This indicates a growth of 5,225 students since the first count Aug. 9. The school system's post-Labor Day forecast is 162,459. As of the fourth count, GCPS is 275 students below forecast.

Chattahoochee Elementary School gained 34 students from the last count, Duluth Middle School increased by 11, and Berkeley Lake Elementary grew by 12 students. B.B. Harris Elementary reported an increase of 30 students in the third count Aug. 22. School system planners will continue to monitor growth and do anticipate additional students enrolling prior to the final count after Labor Day. The remaining enrollment count will be conducted on Sept. 6. Enrollment usually continues to climb with the post-Labor Day count more accurately reflecting school enrollment.
