Other winners were sophomore Lauren Bell, freshman Rachel Rice, and eighth grader Carley Matheson, who was crowned Miss Duluth Middle School. Tim Mettille was named favorite escort.

The opening number of “Greased Lightening” was choreographed by Cindy Brown of Miss Cindy’s Dance Studio in downtown Duluth.

Vanden Hoek was awarded a $1,000 scholarship. She plans to attend Georgia College & State University in Milledgeville this fall and study broadcast journalism.
