Duluth Graduates Walk Into Tomorrow

Graduating seniors walk across stage to cheers from family and friends to receive their diplomas.

Graduating seniors from Duluth High School walked across the stage to cheers from family and friends to receive their diplomas during the 52nd annual Commencement Exercises at Gwinnett Center on Monday, May 30. 

Principal Jason Lane handed out diplomas to the 430 graduates. Keynote speakers included Gwinnett Board of Education Member Dr. Mary Kay Murphy and Vince Hayes, Duluth High School's Teacher of the Year, Salutatorian Nihar Madhavan and Valedictorian Ronald Kurtz. 

Other highlights included a performance of the class song "Our Tomorrow" written by senior Keary Mobley and the singing of the alma mater and national anthem by members of the Senior Choral Ensemble.

This year, Duluth's graduating class received more than $2 million in scholarship money to further their education.
