Concert to Benefit Peachtree Ridge HS Orchestra

Peachtree Ridge Players to perform with pop artist Norwood at Red Clay Theatre in Duluth.

"Eddie Owen Presents" is hosting a concert featuring the 50-member Peachtree Ridge Orchestra Players and pop artist Norwood at 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 7, at the Red Clay Theatre in Duluth.

This concert is the first in a “Norwood’s Noteworthy Noise” series in which Norwood will tour and perform with students to raise funds to help keep music alive in local schools.

The program includes Norwood’s original pop songs “Gravity” and “Speechless,” some Beatles tunes, several classical selections, and standards such as “Danny Boy.” The orchestra also will accompany dancers performing on the Red Clay Theatre stage.

Tickets are $10 in advance or $12 at the door and can be purchased at www.eddieowenpresents.com. Proceeds will benefit the PRHS Orchestra directed by Dr. Bernadette Scruggs. Peachtree Ridge High School is located in Suwanee.
