Chattahoochee ES Drama Club Presenting Play

'A Thousand Cranes' tells the story of a Japanese girl who develops leukemia after the atomic bomb was dropped near her home in Hiroshima.

The Drama Club is presenting 'A Thousand Cranes at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 15, in the school cafeteria. The public is invited to attend. Admission is free.

"A Thousand Cranes' is the story of Sadako Sasaki, a Japanese girl who was 2 years old when the atomic bomb was dropped on Aug. 6, 1945, near her home in Hiroshima. In January 1955 Sadako was diagnosed with leukemia, referred to as "the atom bomb disease."

Chattahoochee ES is located at 2930 Albion Farm Road in Duluth.
