Paul Broun Speaks to Conservative Republican Women

Representative Paul Broun spoke to about 50 people last night gathered for the Conservative Republican Women of North Atlanta Annual Salad Supper. The group honored Past Georgia Republican Party Chairman Sue Everhart and heard from newly elected Georgia Republican Chairman John Padget.

Broun mention his latest scoring by the Heritage Foundation which is excerpted below:

Several questions were taken by the Congressman the most pointed being... Where is is the Republican outrage over the exempting of Congressional Staff? It is not really an exemption rather a increase in taxpayer funds (more spending) used to fund their premiums at the 72% level. Aren't you surprised that your employer is not following their lead as ACA drives up the insurance premiums you are paying.

The overwhelming sentiment from the attendees last night was that Congress needed to defund the ACA. In the 7th District I am sure Congressman Woodall will be getting this message from those who attend his Town Halls. It remains to be seen if the Congressman will vote to defund. August 20 Forsyth and August 22 Gwinnett
