Health & Fitness

Sharing a bit about me - hope you will share a bit about you.

We have many gems in Duluth and need to use those as building blocks.  They are sprinkled from corner to corner in the City, serve different purposes and provide a big platform for the continued growth of quality and quantity of opportunity.
As someone who has successfully invested in real estate (residential and commercial), businesses (which have all grown and been sold) and spent more than 20 years actively involved in our school cluster, I understand the great base we have upon which we will always to build.   My knowledge and relationships have helped to advance many infrastructure projects and stimulate interest from the development community.  I look forward to future conversations with citizens and developers, investors and entrepreneurs to find the right time and place for new investments.I am personally involved in a new venture that is preparing to launch in Duluth this January.  If you read the Atlanta Business Chronicle, you can learn about NexLabs – an entrepreneur launching pad!  I am the Chair of the Board and have already begun to engaging the experts to mentor, the local investors to fund worthy projects and businesses to be first customers.  This will generate opportunity and jobs in Duluth and Gwinnett.

Do you know how much Public Art contributes to the well-being of a community?  I am honored to serve on the Duluth Public Arts Commission as we plan for the wide variety of chances to bring physical, performing and other cultural arts to all of Duluth.Wherever I go, I look for more ideas and value to bring back to the community.
Every day that I am in Duluth, I connect with people and businesses, share ideas and learn how we can all work together for everyone’s benefit.  What a great place to live, work, play and more – and what a bright future we have.  My active engagement for more than 15 years tells part of the story of my passion for this wonderful city.
If you have questions, come to the Crush Tasting Room behind the Duluth Package Store (2870  PIB)  on Friday, 22 November between 7 and 9 pm or email me at marsha.bomar@gmail.com.I look forward to earning your support and your vote so I may serve one final term on the Duluth City Council.
