Tax Deadline Day Post Office Hours

The Boggs Road Postal Store in Duluth will be open until 7 p.m. April 15. Other Duluth post offices closing at 5 p.m.

The Boggs Road Postal Store in Duluth will be open until 7 p.m. Monday, April 15, to accept income tax returns.

The deadline for filing federal and state income tax returns is midnight.

The Atlanta Main Post Office, 3900 Crown Road, will be staffed to collect returns until midnight on April 15. The main post office’s regular hours are 6 a.m. until midnight year round.

Located at 1605 Boggs Road, the Boggs Road Postal Store will be open regular hours from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday.

The Duluth Post Office at 3470 McClure Bridge Road and a satellite office in the Chevron station at 2700 Buford highway will follow regular hours Monday, closing at 5 p.m.

Atlanta USPS District Manager Sal Vacca recommends visiting Post Offices early in the day to avoid last-minute long lines. Vacca also recommends giving returns to outside collection employees (where available), using Self Service Ship and Mail Centers for stamp purchases and double checking returns for the proper address and correct postage.

Postal customers should also be advised that all mail weighing 13 ounces or more must be presented at the retail counter.
