Duluth Senior Citizens Center Progressing

A November grand opening is planned for senior citizens activity center under construction in W.P. Jones Park.

A November grand opening is planned for the new Senior Citizens Center being built in W.P. Jones Park, according to Duluth Parks and Recreation Director Kathy Marelle.

β€œThe center looks finished, but there is still construction going on,” Marelle said. Ground was broken and construction started on the 2,400-square-foot center for active seniors in January.

The center will serve the more than 300 members of the FAB (Fifty And Beyond) Club and as an events rental facility on evenings and weekends.
