Public Input on Proposed HUD Grants Sought

Gwinnett County leaders are seeking public comment on the county's Proposed Action plan, which will be considered for approval in October 2012.

According to a county newsletter, the 2013 Proposed Action Plan contains all activities recommended for funding from estimated FY 2013 grants to be awarded by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), plus estimated program income.

Proposed building grants exceed $3 million. (Document is attached below.)

The public comment period for the Proposed Action Plan 2013 is Aug. 8, 2012 to Sept. 10, 2012. Gwinnett including Duluth residents are invited to comment.

A summary of all comments received during the public comment period will be provided to the commissioners before Oct. 16, the release said. The approved Action Plan will be submitted to HUD no later than Nov. 15.
