In addition to small, citizen-led table top discussions about metro Atlanta regional transportation needs, forum participants can expect to learn specific details about the Transportation Investment Act, proposed Gwinnett transportation projects, and the impact regional transportation has on local economies.

Recently, Nathaniel Smith, CEO of Partnership for Southern Equity, said “Metro Atlanta’s current regional transportation challenge is testing our collective ability to reach a more equitable society. Atlanta citizens understand that transportation is more than a means to get from point A to B. Transportation drives economic development in communities, it determines who has access to jobs, and it has a profound impact on an individual’s quality of life.”

Forum organizers plan to provide refreshments beginning at 6 p.m. for early attendees, and children are welcome to participate.
