Kathy Marelle Earns Management Certificate

City of Duluth Parks and Recreation Director Kathy Marelle was presented with a certificate for successfully completing the George Harris Executive Management Program from the University of Georgia through the Carl Vinson Institute of Government on Aug 18. The program is a professional management development program designed to develop the knowledge, skills, and ability of select recreation professionals from across Georgia. Only 19 recreational professionals were selected throughout Georgia to participate in the program. The course included effective methods in management, problem solving, social media, budget management, public speaking, and a project presentation. Graduates of the program completed project presentations at the Georgia Recreation and Parks Association State conference in Macon where the certificates were presented. Marelle’s presentation was on "Public versus Private Recreation Services."
