Hill Street Area to be Improved

Duluth City Council awards contract for road, stormwater and sidewalk improvements.

In a called meeting Monday night, the Duluth City Council awarded a contract for road, stormwater, and sidewalk improvements on Donaville, Jones and Dogwood streets in the Hill Street Area neighborhood. Β

CMC Inc., the lowest responsive bidder, was awarded the contract in the amount of $364,724.

Funding for the improvements will be provided through two Community Development Block Grants (CDBG) grants totaling $430,000 previously awarded to the city, according to Duluth Planning Department Director Glenn Coyne, who noted that the bid amount fell within the available funds. The CDBG grants are federally funded, he said.
