Governor Taps Duluth Man Again for Georgia World Congress Center Board

Gov. Nathan Deal recently reappointed a Duluth man to sit on a statewide board focused on the Georgia World Congress Center.

Glenn Hicks, a principal and managing director of First Beacon Capital, was reappointed to the Board of Governors of the George L. Smith II World Congress Center Authority.

Hicks has been with First Beacon Investments since 2009, according to a media release.

In the past, he has served as a member and chairman of the Stone Mountain Memorial Association and member of the George West Mental Health Foundation/Skyland Trail Advisory Board.

Additionally, the media release states that Hicks holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Georgia State University. He and his wife, Linda, have three children and two grandchildren.
