Winners each received two tickets to the State of the City Address.

Local businesses and organizations were invited by the City of Duluth to take their photos with a “Flat Shiner” and enter a photo contest. Mayor Nancy Harris announced the winners at the State of the City Address Tuesday (Jan. 22) at Gwinnett Center.

To prepare for the address, “Shiner,” the mayor of Chattapoochee Dog Park, and Harris visited local businesses, schools, parks, and civic organizations to inventory what the city offers. Those who were missed were invited to print a drawing of “Shiner” and pose with it.

Declared winners by the mayor were Georgia 811 – Call Before You Dig, B. Patrick Dongieux Dentistry, and Adventures in Diving. The winning photographs were displayed during Harris' speech.
