Mark Williams for House campaign giving away frozen treats starting on April 21

Anyone with an interest in a free and sweet frozen treat – and the chance to meet a quality candidate for State House – is invited to join in the festivities taking place in the greater Norcross area this Saturday, April 21.

Republican State House candidate Mark Williams has converted a 24-foot delivery vehicle into a rolling campaign ice cream truck, distributing his literature, signs, T-shirts and free edible goodies.

Williams, a long-time community volunteer and business leader, said he wanted to do something unique for those he seeks to represent in House District 96.

“Of course, I want to make sure that I share a message about my campaign,” Williams said. “But at the end of the day, who doesn’t enjoy ice cream?”

Williams and his team of volunteers have wrapped the large vehicle in logos and images supporting the campaign. The truck also has been outfitted with a sound system capable of playing the familiar “ice cream truck” music as it travels from neighborhood to neighborhood.

This Saturday’s - April 21st - efforts will begin at 10 a.m. at the Mark for House campaign headquarters – 2790 Simpson Circle, Norcross. Throughout the day the truck will be visiting various Norcross residential areas, and ice cream will be available at all stops.

“We plans to hit every street in District 96 by mid June, and maybe get to them all a few times,” Williams said. “Watch and listen for the big white ice cream truck with the pictures on the side. I would like to shake your hand and leave you with something to think about and something to eat.”
