Duluth Municipal Election Date Set for Nov. 5

Qualifying opens Monday, Aug. 26, and continues through Wednesday, Aug. 28.

Three posts on the Duluth City Council will be on the ballot for the municipal election Nov. 5.Β 

The council adopted an ordinance setting the election and qualifying dates at its July 8 meeting.

Posts currently held by Marsha Bomar (Post 1), Jim Dugan (Post 2) and Billy Jones (Post 3) will determined in the election.

Dugan indicated after the meeting that he is planning to run again for re-election. Jones said he also will seek another term. Bomar stated that she is undecided at this time.

Qualifying opens Monday, Aug. 26, and continues through Wednesday, Aug. 28. Hours for qualifying each day are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
