Duluth City Council To Hold Mini Strategic Work Session July 29

A look ahead at this week in Duluth.

The Duluth City Council meets Monday night in a mini strategic work session to discuss city issues including a request for additional funding from the Downtown Development Authority to design the Red Clay expansion. The council is also expected to consider ways to fund the addition to the downtown music venue. The work session will be held in the basement of Red Clay at 5:30 p.m.

Healthy Kids Camp at EPIC for children ages 4-12 starts Monday. The camp ends with Healthy Kids Day Aug. 3. Come for a day or the entire week.  

Duluth Mayor Nancy Harris will lead a Focus Group at noon Tuesday on boosting downtown nightlife. The topic will be “It’s 5’ O’Clock Somewhere – After 5 Attractions.”

School buses that carry students to and from Gwinnett County Public Schools start rolling for test runs Wednesday. School starts Aug. 7.

Gwinnett County plans to mail tax bills by Saturday. Tax payments are due Oct. 3.
