Donate Heaters to Keep Senior Citizens Warm

Drop off new portable electric heaters through Feb. 28 at Gwinnett County fire stations.

Winter weather is upon us, and it’s uncomfortable and unhealthy for many senior citizens who live on fixed incomes and often are unable to afford heating their homes to be cold. You can help by donating portable electric portable heaters to help keep Gwinnett seniors warm this winter. Donated heaters must be marked UL-tested.

Gwinnett County fire stations are accepting donations of new portable electric heaters through Feb. 28, according to an announcement by the county. The heaters will be collected from the stations and personally delivered to seniors in need. A smoke detector and information on fire safety will also be provided with the heaters.
