Decision Day II in Duluth

The runoff election is Tuesday for two City Council posts.

For the second time in a month, Duluth voters can vote for the makeup of their City Council for the next few years.

Tuesday (Dec. 3) is Election Day again, as a runoff will be held for City Council Posts 1 and 2. In the November election, no candidate received the required 50 percent plus one majority that is required to win outright.

All voting will be at City Hall.

The candidates are:

  • Post 1: Marsha Anderson Bomar (incumbent), David Cossette.
  • Post 2: Jim Dugan (incumbent), Seth Grey.
In the November general election, Bomar and Dugan were the top vote-getters, despite not receiving a majority. However, the vote totals for Louis Tseng and Kirkland Carden, neither of whom made the runoff, could be significant factors in the runoff.

Special messages from the candidates can be found in the Government section of Duluth Patch.
