Contract Awarded for Boggs Road Improvements

The project will add about three-quarters of a mile of sidewalk and bus stop pads along the east and west side of Boggs Road in Duluth and Lawrenceville.

Gwinnett County Commissioners awarded a construction contract for pedestrian improvements along Boggs Road between Old Norcross Road and Breckinridge Boulevard to low bidder I.S.C. Inc.

The $383,611 project in Duluth and Lawrenceville will add about three-quarters of a mile of sidewalk and bus stop pads along the east and west side of Boggs Road, curb and gutter, drainage improvements and road striping, according to a news release.

Funding comes from a Federal Transit Administration grant. This project is expected to be complete by the end of August. The contract was awarded during the commission’s May 7 meeting.
