Be Aware of Road, Lane Closings in Gwinnett County

The Gwinnett Department of Transportation has released a list of road and lane closings for the week of April 14-20. Here's the list:

• Alcovy Road from Campbell Road to West Drowning Creek Road will require intermittent lane closure through December 2012 for roadway improvements associated with Sugarloaf Parkway extension, weather permitting. Any such closures will be between the hours of 9:00am and 4:00pm
• Bramlett Shoals Road from Brooks Road to Bramlett Shoals Road Connector will require intermittent lane closures through March 2012 for roadway improvements associated with Sugarloaf Parkway extension, weather permitting. Any such closures will be between the hours of 9:00am and 4:00pm.
• Campbell Road West from Campbell Road to Alcovy Road will require intermittent lane closures through March 2012 for roadway improvements associated with Sugarloaf Parkway extension, weather permitting. Any such closures will be between the hours of 9:00am and 4:00pm.
• Cherokee Trail at Apache Terrace will close April 3 for one month for culvert replacement. The detour route will be Cherokee Trail to Seminole Place to Mohawk Drive to Apache Terrace to Cherokee Trail and the reverse. For further information contact the Department of Water Resource 678-376-6926.
• Dacula Road at Old Peachtree Road will require intermittent lane closures and traffic shifts through June 2012 for intersection improvements, weather permitting. Any such closures will be between the hours of 9:00am and 4:00pm. 
• Fence Road from Dacula Road to River Pass Court NE will require intermittent lane closures through June 2012 for sidewalk improvements, weather permitting. Any such closures will be between the hours of 9:00am and 4:00pm.
• Fence Road from York View Drive to Little Mulberry River Park will require intermittent lane closure through May 2012 for roadway improvements, weather permitting. Any such closures will be between the hours of 9:00am and 4:00pm.
• Indian Shoals Road at Masters Road will require intermittent land closures through April 2012 for intersection improvements, weather permitting. Any such closures will be between the hours of 9:00am and 4:00pm. For further information contact the Department of Community Services at 770-822-8829.
• Indian Trail Road from Beaver Ruin Road to Oakbrook Parkway will require intermittent nightly lane closures beginning April 16, 2012 through April 20, 2012 for paving, weather permitting. The closures on April 16th to April 19th will be from 8:00 pm to 6:00 am, and on April 20th from 9:00 pm to 8:00 am.
• Indian Trail Road from Beaver Ruin Road to Oakbrook Parkway will require intermittent lane closures through August 2012 for roadway improvements, and median installation, weather permitting. Any such closures will be between the hours of 9:00am and 4:00pm.
• Johnson Road at US 29/Lawrenceville Highway will require intermittent lane closures through February 2012 for roadway improvements, weather permitting. Any such closures will be between the hours of 9:00am and 4:00pm.
• Killian Hill Road from Stonemont Drive to Pathfinder Way will require intermittent lane closures, and traffic shifts through September 2012 for bridge replacement and roadway improvements, weather permitting. Any such closures will be between the hours of 9:00am and 4:00pm.
• Lee Road over No Business Creek will require intermittent lane closures and traffic shifts through June 2012 for bridge replacement, weather permitting. Any such closures will be between the hours of 9:00am and 4:00pm.
• Martins Chapel Road from Bramlett Shoals Road to Bramlett Shoals Connector will require intermittent lane closures through March 2012 for roadway improvements associated with Sugarloaf Parkway extension, weather permitting. Any such closures will be between the hours of 9:00am and 4:00pm.
• Meadowbrook Drive from Dogwood Way to Mark Trail will close April 24 through May 22, 2012 for drainage improvements.  The detour route will be Meadowbrook Drive to Jimmy Carter Boulevard to Rockbridge Road to Meadowbrook Drive and the reverse.  For further information contact the Department of Water Resources at 678-376-6983. 
• Miller Road from Cole Drive to Hambrick Drive will require intermittent lane closures through July 2012 for sidewalk improvements, weather permitting. Any such closures will be between the hours of 9:00am and 4:00pm.
• New Hope Road from Country Acres Lane to Ivy Lea Drive SE will require intermittent lane closures, and traffic shifts through July 2012 for roadway improvements and intersection alignments, weather permitting. Any such closures will be between the hours of 9:00am and 4:00pm. 
• New Hope Road from Tribble Mill Parkway to Callie Still Road will require intermittent lane closures through March 2012 for pedestrian improvements, weather permitting. Any such closures will be between the hours of 9:00am and 4:00pm.
• North Berkeley Lake Road from Bush Road to Lakeshore Drive will close on March 19, 2012, to February 2013 for Berkeley Lake Dam repairs. The detour route will be North Berkeley Lake Road to Peachtree Industrial Boulevard to South Berkeley Lake Road to North Berkeley Lake Road and the reverse.
• North Norcross Tucker Road from Western Hills Drive to Pelican Drive will require intermittent lane closures through June 2012 for roadway widening and intersection improvements, weather permitting. Any such closures will be between the hours of 9:00am and 4:00pm.
• Old Norcross Road at Herrington Road will require intermittent lane closure on April 9 through April 10, 2012 for drainage improvements, weather permitting.  Any such closure will be between the hours of 9:00am and 4:00pm.   For further information contact the Department of Water Resources at 678-409-6406.
• Old Peachtree Road at Sunny Hill Road will require intermittent lane closures through April 2012 for roadway improvements, weather permitting. Any such closures will be between the hours of 9:00am and 4:00pm.
• Peachtree Industrial Boulevard from Pleasant Hill Road to Summer Chase Drive will require intermittent lane closures through March 2012 for multi-use path construction and roadway improvements, weather permitting. Any such closures will be between the hours of 9:00am and 4:00pm.
• Peachtree Industrial Boulevard at Chattahoochee Drive will require intermittent lane closures through April 2012 for traffic signal installation and other improvements. Any such closures will be between the hours of 9:00am and 4:00pm.
• Peachtree Industrial Boulevard at Hansboro Way will require intermittent lane closures through April 2012 for traffic signal installation and other improvements. Any such closures will be between the hours of 9:00am and 4:00pm.
• Pleasant Hill Road from McClure Bridge Road/Howell Ferry Road to US 23/Buford Highway will require intermittent lane closures through July 2013 for road widening and improvements, weather permitting. Any such closures will be between the hours of 9:00am and 5:00pm.
• Pleasant Hill Road from US 23/Buford Highway to US 29/Lawrenceville Highway will require intermittent lane closures through October 2012 for ATMS improvements, weather permitting. Any such closures will be between the hours of 9:00am and 4:00pm.
• Ridge Drive from Satellite Boulevard and Woodward Mill Road will close until further notice.
• River Oak Loop from Wakefield Street to Continental Drive will close March 13 to April 17, 2012 for drainage improvements, weather permitting. The detour route will be River Oak Loop to Continental Drive to River Drive to Oak Road to Wakefield Street to River Loop Road and the reverse.
• Rock Springs Road from Bluffton Road to Pine Log Way will require intermittent lane closures through May 2012 for roadway improvements, weather permitting. Any such closures will be between the hours of 9:00am and 4:00pm.
• Rockbridge Road from Stovall Road to Lilburn Stone Mountain Road will require intermittent lane closures through June 2012 for roadway improvements, weather permitting. Any such closures will be between the hours of 9:00am 4:00pm.
• Rosestone Drive from Birdlake Drive to Halfmoon Hollow will close March 28 to April 27, 2012 for drainage improvements. The detour route will be Rosestone Drive to Sunfield Drive to Rosestone Drive and the reverse. For fiurther information please contact the Department of Water Resources at 678-376-6983.
• SR 20/Nelson Brogdon Blvd/Buford Drive from Peachtree Industrial Boulevard to I-985 will require intermittent lane closures through October 2012 for ATMS improvements, weather permitting.  Any such closures will be between the hours of 9:00am and 4:00pm.
• SR 316/University Parkway from Boggs Road to Sugarloaf Parkway will require intermittent single lane closures and pacing through September 2012 for roadway widening and improvements, weather permitting. The daytime single lane closures and pacing will be between 10:00am to 3:00pm Monday through Friday. Nighttime single lane closures will be from 9:00pm to 5:00am, 7 days a week.
• SR 316/University Parkway from Winder Highway to Harbins Road will require intermittent lane closures through December 2012 for roadway improvements associated with Sugarloaf Parkway extension, weather permitting. Any such closures will be between the hours of 9:00am and 4:00pm.
• South Harris Street from the intersection of Buford Highway westerly 300 feet will permanently close.  For further information contact the City of Buford at 770-945-6761.
• Sugarloaf Parkway fromthe Gwinnett Arena to North Brown Road will require intermittent lane closures through April 2012 for pedestrian improvements, weather permitting. Any such closures will be between the hours of 9:00am and 4:00pm.
• Temple Johnson Road west of Rosebud Road will close March 22 for three weeks for waterline repairs. The detour route will be Rosebud to Old Loganville Road to Pate Road and the reverse. For further information contact the Department of Water Resources at 678-376-7000.
• Temple Johnson Road from Skyland Drive to Preserve Creek Way will require intermittent lane closures through April 2012 for roadway improvements, weather permitting. Any such closures will be between the hours of 9:00am and 4:00pm.
• US 29/Lawrenceville Highway from Lawrenceville Suwanee Road to Sterling Hill Road will require intermittent lane closures through April 2012 for roadway improvements, weather permitting. Any such closures will be between the hours of 9:00am and 4:00pm.
• Walker Drive from Camp Perrin Road to Pine Point Drive will close on April 10 for one month for drainage improvements.  The detour route will be Walker Drive to Camp Perrin Road to Pine Point Drive to Walker Drive and the reverse.  For further information contact the Department of Water Resources at 678-376-6926.  
• West Campbell Road closed permanently due to Sugarloaf Parkway extension.
