Early Voting Continues Through Nov. 2

Saturday voting to be available at main Gwinnett Elections Office from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Oct. 27.

Advance voting for national, state and local races on the ballot in the Nov. 6 General Election continues at the Gwinnett County Elections Office through Friday, Nov. 2.

The main Elections Office is located at 455 Grayson Highway in Lawrenceville. Advance votes may be cast from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

More early voting sites become available Monday, Oct. 29, through Nov. 2 at satellite offices in Norcross, Suwanee, Snellville, and Dacula.

Saturday voting will be available at the main office and the satellite offices Saturday, Oct. 27, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

After Saturday, registered voters may cast a ballot in person Monday through Friday through Nov. 2 between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. at the main Elections Office or between 9 a.m. and 7 p.m. at one of the satellite polling locations.

The last day to request an absentee ballot is noon on Friday, Nov. 2. The first step is to complete an application that can be obtained online at www.gwinnettelections.com or by phone at 678.226.7210 and then submit the application to the Elections Office by mail, fax or email.

By state law, a voter must return his or her voted absentee ballot to the Elections Office either in person or by mail through the U.S. Postal Service or express services like FedEX and UPS. Elections can accept absentee ballots through 7 p.m. on election night. Voters are only permitted to deliver their own ballots, unless they are an attendant care provider or immediate family member of a disabled elector.

The 2012 General Election will take place on Tuesday, Nov. 6 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at all precincts in Gwinnett County
