A Reminder: Duluth Taxes Due Nov. 30

Tax payments may be mailed, paid online or made in person at Duluth City Hall.

City of Duluth property taxes are due and payable on or before the Nov. 30 deadline. Tax payments may be mailed, paid online or made in person at Duluth City Hall.

Mailed payments postmarked by Nov. 30 will be considered on time. Credit card online payments are also acceptable and will be considered on time if they are made prior to 5 p.m. on Nov. 30. A $20 convenience fee will apply to all online credit card transactions.

In-person cash or check payments will be accepted during regular City Hall business hours, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Late fees and penalties will be added starting Dec. 1.

A stormwater utility fee is included on city tax bills. The fee is categorized and charged by the type of property. The fee for most detached single-family homes is $36 and $14.40 for most condos and townhomes. The fee for non-residential properties is based on the amount of impervious surface areas such as roofs, patios, sidewalks, etc.
