Three Duluth Men Arrested in Lilburn Armed Robbery Case

The incident happened at a residence, according to Gwinnett Police.

Three men from Duluth and one from Norcross were arrested recently in connection with a robbery at a Lilburn residence, according to Gwinnett Police.

According to the incident report, Gregory A. Moore of a Maxey Hill Court address; Tysheem D. Burns of a The Falls Parkway address; and Syvarius Garrett of a The Falls Parkway address in Duluth were arrested on charges that included armed robbery. The incident happened on Aug. 30.

Initially, two of the suspects approached the victim as he was leaving his vehicle after returning home from a gas station, police said. One of the suspects put a handgun to the victim's head and advised him to stay in the car.

Another suspect then started going through the victim's pockets and took his wallet.

A responding officer spotted a vehicle traveling southbound on Burns Road near Beaver Ruin Road that matched the vehicle leaving the crime scene. The officer pursued, and eventually noticed that the vehicle had no tag, and a piece of paper hanging in the back window.

The officer pulled over the vehicle in a parking lot on Indian Trail Road, and obtained IDs on the occupants.

After the suspects were removed one by one from the vehicle, a search was conducted. Among the items found were a wallet and bank card belonging to the victim, as well as an Apple iBook and an Apple Powerbook.

A 9mm handgun also was found by police.

Also arrested on armed robbery charges was Anthony K. Barnhill of a Rookies Court address in Norcross.
