Report: Bridal Store Clerk Punched in the Face During Armed Robbery

Gwinnett County police are continuing to investigate the armed robbery of a Duluth business on July 11.

$100.

That's about all that two men got during a brazen armed robbery at a Duluth bridal store July 11. But, according to a Gwinnett County police report, a store clerk was left bruised from an attack.

The incident happened about 12 p.m. Thursday, when two men entered the So Good Beauty and Bridal store on Steve Reynolds Boulevard. According to the report, both men were armed with handguns.

The first suspect entered, and immediately went to the cash register where a clerk was standing. The suspect demanded that the clerk open the register, just before punching him in the face, the report stated.

The second suspect moved around the store, where there were several shoppers. At one point, a witness told police that he said: "Whoa. Right there. Don't move. Who else is in the store."

Frightened the customer dropped her coffee and purse on the ground. The two men eventually left in an unknown direction.

When police arrived, a K-9 officer tracked the pair to a Sam's Club near Interstate 85. Surveillance videos were reviewed by police.

On Thursday, the bridal bandits were not located, however. Police are continuing to investigate.
