Gwinnett Police detectives found Christine Joyce Park Monday (May 14) and returned her home in good health.
She left home willingly, and no one will face charges in the case, according to Gwinnett Police Cpl. Jake Smith.
Gwinnett County Police need the public’s help to find a missing young woman from Buford. A Mattie’s Call has been issued for Christine Joyce Park, according to Gwinnett Police Officer Jeffery Richter.
Park's parents reported about 12:45 p.m. Friday (May 11) that she had left home without notifying them. Christine is 21 years old, but her parents told police that she has the mental capacity of an 8-to 10-year-old child, Richter said.
Christine is an Asian female with shoulder-length hair, approximately 5 foot 2 inches tall, and weighs approximately 112 pounds. She was last seen wearing navy blue pants and a red shirt. Her parents believe she may have changed into her favorite clothes described as a white knee-length skirt with navy blue dots or a zigzag pattern and black socks with blue stripes, Richter said. She was also carrying a blue Timberland backpack.
She is listed as a missing person with a disability and does not need medication for her day-to-day activities, Richter said. At this time it is not believed that there was foul play involved in her disappearance, he said.
If anyone comes into contact with Christine they are urged to contact the Gwinnett County Police Department or they can call 911.
