No Injuries Reported in Duluth-Area Business, Residential Fires

Iron Mountain Records Management on North Berkeley Lake Road was evacuated.

Gwinnett Fire worked two fires in the Duluth area Monday, April 28, according to a department media release sent Tuesday afternoon.

No injuries were reported.

BUSINESS FIRE

Firefighters responded Monday, April 28th at 4:54p.m., to a report of a business fire at Iron Mountain Records Management at 2605 North Berkeley Lake Road, NW in Duluth. Crews found a working fire in a paper conveyor system inside the warehouse. The fire was held in check by the sprinkler system and was contained to three separate hoppers. The blaze damaged the hoppers and sent smoke throughout the warehouse. Employees were evacuated and no injuries were reported.

RESIDENTIAL FIRE

Firefighters responded Monday, April 28th at 5:39p.m., to a report of a residential fire at 3985 Blackburn Way, NW in Duluth. Crews found a working fire in the kitchen of a two-story wood frame house on a basement. Firefighters made immediate entry and quickly extinguished the fire. The blaze was contained to the kitchen and caused damage to the stove and cabinets. Β There were no injuries reported.
