The incident happened in an unincorporated area, according to police.

A man was arrested in the Duluth area recently on charges of laying drags and DUI, according to Gwinnett Police.

According to the incident report, Parker L. Bass of a Chippewa Court address was spotted laying drags in the Wagon Wheel Trace area at 1:22 a.m. on Sept. 21.

After a traffic stop, the arresting officer noted that "manifestations were observed indicating the driver was under the influence." The suspect refused a state breath test, so the officer obtained a search warrant to check the driver's blood.

The vehicle was released to the driver's mother, police said.
