Identity Theft Suspect Arrested in Duluth; 100-Plus Cases Involved, Sheriff Says

Televangelist Creflo Dollar was a victim, authorities said.

A man suspected of selling the identities of televangelist Creflo Dollar and more than 100 other people was arrested recently in Duluth, according to authorities.

Anthony Farula Jr. of a Chemin De Vie Road address in Atlanta is being held in the Gwinnett Detention Center without bond, according to a Gwinnett Sheriff's Office news release.

During a weeklong investigation, Farula sold the identities of televangelist Dollar and Pamela Ann Witherspoon, vice president of Universal Music Group, to an undercover deputy, the release said.

Farula was arrested Dec. 17 at The Holiday Inn Express, 3670 Shackelford Road in Duluth.

Also, the investigation led to the discovery of Farula’s stash of personal and financial documents belonging to 114 different individuals across the United States, authorities said. These items were recovered at the Carlton Country Inn & Suites at 3530 Breckinridge Boulevard in Duluth.

Farula also is wanted in DeKalb County.
