Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Deputies were out in force during the evening and early morning hours of Tuesday, Jan. 15.
About 40 deputies in teams of two participated in a “warrant sweep,” according to Lt. Sean Smith, public information officer for the Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Office. There were approximately 381 outstanding warrants for 299 persons wanted. Some persons had more than one warrant/charge.
During the operation 179 attempts to serve warrants were made, 42 warrants were cleared, and 34 persons were arrested, Smith reported in a media release.
