Georgia Gwinnett College Arrests Man on Weapon Charge

The Duluth resident was not a GGC student.

Update 1:18pm - In an email to Georgia Gwinnett students, staff and faculty, GGC's Director of Public Safety, Terrance Schneider, stated the suspect is neither a student nor an employee at the Lawrenceville college.

A Duluth man has been jailed on a charge of possessing a weapon at Georgia Gwinnett College in Lawrenceville, records show.

Duane Davon Dixon of a Club Place address in Duluth was arrested by GGC police on Thursday, Oct. 31, according to records at the Gwinnett Detention Center. He is being held on $5,700 bond.

GGC spokesperson Jennifer Stephens said Friday that Dixon is not a GGC student.

Further details are not avaible, pending the release of the incident report.
