GCPD Seeks Public's Help With Burglary Suspects

Gwinnett Police are looking for suspects in two unrelated burglaries, one of which took place in unincorporated Norcross and the other in unincorporated Lawrenceville.

Gwinnett County Police are seeking the public's assistance in two unrelated burglary investigations, one of which took place in unincorporated Norcross and the other in unincorporated Lawrenceville.

The Norcross investigation involves a series of 10 burglaries that began in December 2012, according to Cpl. Jake Smith, public information officer for the GCPD. The burglaries have been all commercial, mainly on South Norcross-Tucker Road, and usually take place after dark.

Each of these locations contained a massage chair which users activate by depositing money. The suspect would pry open the cash box attached to each chair in the incidents. A couple of known businesses that this incident has occurred in are Coin Laundry, No. 1 Coin Laundry, and Spin Cycle, according to police reports.

The Lawrenceville case is a single residential burglary that took place on the 2000 block of Lebanon Road. In the incident, the resident came home around lunch time on a December day to a kicked-in door and a smashed basement window, according to the police report. The home was relatively untouched except for a wooden box that contained $50 in one dollar bills.

Anyone with information on these suspects is asked to contact GCPD Burglary Unit detectives at 770-513-5300.  Callers can also contact Crime Stoppers at 404-557-TIPS (8477).
