Duluth Woman Facing DUI-Child Endangerment Charge

A Lilburn man also was arrested, according to police.

A Duluth woman and a Lilburn man are both facing DUI-child endangerment charges after they drove a vehicle with an infant inside while they were impaired, according to police.

Robin Nicole Sheeter of a Monteath Pass address was booked into the Gwinnett Detention Center on Dec. 20, according to jail records. Charges were DUI-child endangerment and DUI-marijuana.

Also arrested Dec. 20 on the same charges were Benjamin Charles Sheeter of a Valley Park Drive address in Lilburn.

According to Gwinnett Police spokesperson Cpl. Jake Smith, the Sheeters stopped their vehicle to look at an apartment Dec. 20, and the manager of the apartment complex felt like they looked intoxicated. An officer met the suspects at the scene.

Both suspects told police that they had driven the vehicle recently, but said they had not consumed alcohol, Smith said. Arrests were made after tests were conducted at the scene.

The infant was released to Robin Sheeter's mother, Smith said.
