DragonCon Founder Back in Gwinnett Jail

Edward Kramer is a suspected child molester who was busted at a hotel in September 2011 with a 14-year-old boy.

Dragoncon founder Edward Kramer, 50, was in the Gwinnett County jail as of 4 p.m., Jan. 19, following charges of aggravated child molestation.

According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Kramer was first arrested in Gwinnett County on Aug. 25, 2000, and accused of sexually abusing three teen boys during a sleepover at his house.

However, he was thought to be physically incapable of standing trial because of severe spinal and respiratory problems. He was then put on house arrest, but, according to Atlanta Magazine, "the court granted eleven separate bond modifications, each one giving Kramer more freedom to come and go as he pleased."

In 2008 he was granted permission to travel, and made his way to Connecticut.

He was arrested and jailed in Connecticut in September 2011, but was released on a $50,000 bond with the condition that he could have no unsupervised contact with minors younger than 16.

He violated that condition, however, when he was .

In his mugshot, he is seen wearing a neck brace and oxygen mask. Gwinnett District Attorney Danny Porter believes that's all a ruse, however. He told 11Alive in Sept. 2011 that he received a tip that Kramer had been hiking on trails in Connecticut and not using the cane, wheelchair and oxygen supply he had insisted that he needed.

Kramer, who lost an appeal of his extradition to Georgia, was still in Gwinnett County Jail Monday, Jan. 21.
