Gwinnett Police ID Body of Man Found at Bella Vista Apartments
Darinel Martinez Lopez was found dead in a wooded area at the Duluth area apartment complex Sunday afternoon.
A man found deceased in a wooded area at the Bella Vista Apartments in unincorporated Duluth Sunday (July 28) has been identified by Gwinnett Police as Darinel Martinez Lopez, 26, of Duluth.
Gwinnett County Police Department officers were dispatched in response to a deceased person call to the apartment complex at 4015 Satellite Blvd. at 3 p.m. A pedestrian had discovered a body in a wooded area on the property, according to a news release issued by Cpl. Jake Smith.
At this time the cause of death is unknown, pending an autopsy, Smith reported. The case will continue to be investigated as a homicide unless or until the investigation reveals that it was not.
