Woman, Her Unborn Child Killed in Duluth Accident
The incident happened near Gwinnett Place Mall.
Updated 12:53 a.m.: A woman and her unborn child were killed Saturday in a traffic accident near Gwinnett Place Mall, according to Gwinnett Police.
Katerin Metina, 19, and her unborn baby were killed in the accident at Pleasant Hill Road and Venture Drive. The driver of the passenger car at fault will face charges of vehicular homicide, feticide by vehicle, and failure to yield while turning left.
Original post, 10:18 p.m.: Five people were reported injured Saturday in a traffic accident in the Duluth area, according to police.
Gwinnett Police said that there was a serious injury traffic accident at Pleasant Hill Road and Venture Drive. One of the victims reportedly is pregnant, and at least one person has a life-threatening injury.
