3 Teens Charged in iPhone Thefts From Students
The iPhones were stolen from Peachtree Ridge HS students. One of the 17-year-olds charged is from Duluth. Gwinnett Police were aided by an iCloud tracking procedure in the investigation.
Three Gwinnett teens have been charged with the recent thefts of four iPhones from students at Peachtree Ridge High in Suwanee.
Gwinnett Police said Friday (March 29) in a statement that they were aided by an iCloud tracking procedure in the investigation. The thefts occurred in early March.

- Kamoni Conley, 17, of Lawrenceville; charges include theft by receiving (a felony);
- Keanu Lewis, 17, of Lawrenceville; charges include theft by receiving (a felony);
- Derek Higgs, 17, of Duluth; charges include theft by deception (a felony).
Police reported they initially met with the father of one of the victims, who had tracked the stolen phone via iCloud to a restaurant in Duluth.
Eventually, Gwinnett Police and the father followed the phone via iCloud to a Lawrenceville residence. There, they made contact with the homeowner, who gave police a number from a Craigslist ad through which the phone was purchased.

The investigation continued. The person who responded to police at that number cooperated with the investigation and was not charged.
