The Obama White House offers citizens the opportunity to file a petition on its official website. Several people have already opened petitions asking others to join them in asking for a variety of issues to be considered by the administration. Included in those petitions gaining popularity are a couple relating to Japan’s territorial issues.
Closer to home, are a couple of petitions asking for mandatory labeling of genetically engineered food as well as a petition to prevent the FDA to regulate premium cigars. At last count, more than 30,500 people had digitally signed that petition. There also was a petition, garnering a little slower support, requesting that the state of Louisiana be allowed to peacefully withdraw from the United States of America and create its own new government.
What petition would you like filed with the Obama Administration?
