On this week’s Bites Nearby, we look at a café across from the Duluth Town Green serving lattes, desserts, and sandwiches.
– This hip coffee shop/bistro adds a lot of charm to downtown Duluth. Chocolate Perks has a cozy interior with comfy couches in one section and café tables in another. It serves excellent made-to-order coffee with a lot of options. Of course, with a name like Chocolate Perks, you can expect some rich desserts, and they don’t disappoint. Their chocolate truffles are divine. Also, now serving fresh-baked cookies and pastries. The menu features breakfast and lunch sandwiches, paninis, and soups. There's weekend entertainment, works by guest artists on the walls, a selection of well-chosen beers and wines, and a great view of Duluth City Hall and the Town Green.
