Atlanta Journal Constitution Cup Winner

Greater Atlanta Christian School senior, Sam Weyen, received this year's top honor - the Atlanta Journal Constitution Cup.

The AJC Cup is awarded to to the senior who stands above all the rest and excels in academics, community activities, and stands out as a leader.

Sam will be attending Stanford in the fall. At GAC, he has served as his class president for 3 consecutive years and planned and executed a Junior/Senior prom for 450 of his peers. He is also a leader on the stage where he had the lead role as Harold Hill in The Music Man as part of the winter musical production for GAC’s award-winning drama department.  Well liked by his peers, he is a leader among them. Sam is creative, conscientious, disciplined, and kind as he balances the highest levels of academic rigor. Like his brother, Jack Weyen (GAC alum), he was accepted to both Harvard University and Stanford. This year, Sam was named as the Atlanta Journal Constitution Cup winner as well as the Class of 2014 Valedictorian.
