How should we respond on this the first and twelfth anniversary of 9/11? "We will always remember"... "We will never forget". Let us ask ourselves the hard questions: Has our country lost its moral authority, when for over a year the perpetrators of the raid on our Embassy in Benghazi have escaped justice? Are the twin towers a metaphor of our false sense of national pride, vulnerable and failing? How do these memories change us? Are these events an indictment of our lack of individual resolve, our lack of vigilance, and our unwillingness as a people to participate in governance? Don’t we need to act now to protect the principles of God's greatest gift to the governance of man, the U.S. Constitution"? When you think of the twin towers you have to understand that liberty and freedom are the foundation of our country’s success. My hope is that we, the citizens, the people, will remember the cost of our freedom every day.

So as we pause to remember the victims of this day, let us rededicate ourselves individually to preservation of liberty and freedom for our children and generations to follow. Our success, if we are to succeed, begins by participating in our community, by understanding firsthand the challenges of governing and then using that knowledge to elect stateswomen and statesmen who will focus their energy to restoring this nation. We are the first responders. If we respond to the challenges before us we will rebuild our nation. Can you hear me?
