European justice system laughable
Breaking down how the Anders Breivik sentencing is yet another step in the degeneration of European justice systems.
Anders Breivik, the Norwegian militant responsible for the slaying of 77 people last July, apologized to his fellow "militant nationalists" in court today for not killing more. Then, in typical European justice system fashion, he was sentenced to 10-21 years in prison. A possible 10-year sentence for taking the lives of 77 innocent people, most of them children, is a sickening thought. Sentences like these for such horrific crimes are why the rest of the world looks at Europe and laughs.
Mass murderers must be held more accountable in Europe, otherwise they are opening themselves up to further disaster. For decades now, European nations have been mocked for the way justice is handed out, and this sentencing is yet another example.
It is simply ridiculous to think that this man could very well be walking the streets in just one decade's time. This trial was a chance for a European nation to finally take a firm stand against violent crimes, and once again they have dropped the ball.
