Hot and More Hot...

No relief from the extreme heat anytime soon.

OK... enough of the abnormal heat. I'm really not looking forward to the summer if this is all we're going to have, mid-90's and no rain. However, the long term forecast has us in the normal range for both precip and temperatures so hopefully the extreme heat will weaken soon.

There is a slight chance of rain on Thursday and Friday and a better chance on Sunday as a weak cold front sags south. An upper level low will slowly meander around the north central Gulf and influence our weather with an increased flow of moisture around the periphery of the retreating high pressure system. The best chances for rain will be in the west and northern sections of the state. No severe weather is expected with any of these storms.

I wish I had better news. An Air Quality Alert is also in effect today, take the necessary precautions while working outdoors, drink plenty of fluids, and make sure your outdoor pets have plenty of water and shade.
