9/05: JOHN M. IS THIS WEEKS HEALHTY WINNER... 

"I gave myself a birthday present this year by reaching my goal weight of 200 pounds on my 76th birthday. This represents a weight loss of 35 pounds over the past 6 months; I haven’t weighed that little in over 30 years!  But as nice as that was, my greatest thrill was in getting off that dreaded CPAP machine (my wife says I no longer snore) and reducing my medications. I have eliminated one blood pressure pill and cut the dosage on another in half; yet my doctor measured my blood pressure this week at 120 over 70, a significant drop from 6 months ago.  I also have a new wardrobe! My pants size has dropped from a tight-fitting 42" to a comfortable 38" waist. Another nice bonus is that my energy level is up and I seldom need my afternoon nap anymore. 9/12: DENISE IS THIS WEEKS HEALHTY WINNER...

"I was overweight in high school and over the years, I just resigned myself to being heavy. I was always told I was beautiful, but by the time I was in college I was a size 20 to 24, and didn't feel beautiful. I started having a lot of health issues. My husband was afraid for my health, and worried that I wouldn't be around to raise my children. I attended my employer's health and benefits fair where I learned about a program to change my eating habits. I decided to try it.  My family and friends can't believe my physical and emotional transformation. I lost 143 lbs. and no longer have knee pain or huff and puff as I walk upstairs. I especially enjoy doing things with my kids, and flying in a plane without worrying that the seatbelt won't fasten."

 

 

 

  

9/19: JOHN S. IS THIS WEEKS HEALHTY WINNER...

  

 

"When my wife started this new eating plan I thought it was just another goofy gimmick that she had fallen for in hopes of losing weight. Over the next 5 months I watched her lose weight and gain tons of energy while I just ate and ate and sat on the couch. I decided to join her to see if I could feel better too and started the plan on 12/31/10. I am more energetic and can handle this Alabama heat better than I ever have. I dropped 70 lbs. and haven't been this slim since I was about 13 years old. I went from a tight size 38 pants to a loose size 32 and a tight size X-Large shirt to a loose size Large. I feel more healthy and alive and know that I am in the best shape I have ever been in. I am also excited about being able to be more productive in life. 5 almonds with 1 square dark chocolate
