The first Word on Da Street Literary Festival hopes to bring recognition to African American authors and readers. The event will feature authors from around the nation, as well as vendors, live music, and raffles. 50% of the proceeds raised by the raffle tickets will go to Touching Heart, a faith-based charity fighting domestic violence.
